Purpose Expounded

Our purpose is our ministry. Everything should stem from our purpose.

We have this Ministry
    I. To know God, creator of all, and His son Jesus Christ through the leading of the Holy Spirit
        a. To know God - For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2:2)
        b. Creator of All - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.(Gen 1:1)
        c. And His son Jesus Christ - I and [my] Father are one.(John 10:30)
        d. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit - However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own [authority], but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.(John 16:13)

    II. To make this God known to the world that He has placed us in, for His glory alone.
        a. To make this God known – Refer to last point.
        b. to the world that He has placed us in - "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."(Acts 1:8)
        c. for His glory alone - to God, alone wise, [be] glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.*(Romans 16:27) - Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.(1 cor. 10:31)

    III. To love one another as God or Lord and savior Jesus Christ has commanded us and to grow in Him
        a. To love one another as God or Lord and savior Jesus Christ has commanded us – A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. (John 13:34) also see John 13:35 - 15:12,17 – Romans 13:8
        b. and to grow in Him - but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him [be] the glory both now and forever. Amen.(2 Peter 3:18)
